*12 Month+* Contract Kubernetes Architect - K3S - Bare Metal - Start ASAP

Alegra Group is seeking an experienced Kubernetes Architect for a high-impact project with a ** global leader in electronics and manufacturing . The role involves designing a ** disconnected edge architecture using ** K3S** on ** bare metal infrastructure **, supporting next-generation industrial systems.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative edge computing solutions deployed in large-scale, high-performance environments.

Tasks

• Architect and implement a highly available, disconnected edge Kubernetes platform using **K3S **.
• Design and configure **Kubernetes storage **, ** networking , and ** CNI plugins for robust, scalable clusters.
• Manage deployments with Rancher and enable GitOps workflows using ** ArgoCD **.
• Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams to develop resilient solutions for **bare metal environments **.
• Support testing, documentation, and tuning for production-grade edge setups.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in systems architecture, with deep expertise in Kubernetes (K3S) and ** bare metal deployments **.
• Hands-on experience with **Rancher **, ** ArgoCD **, and Kubernetes networking/storage stacks.
• Strong programming or scripting skills in Python and/or ** Golang **.
• Familiar with virtualization, edge computing, and air-gapped environments.
• Proactive mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and excellent collaboration abilities.
