About the role:
We seek highly dedicated, motivated, and passionate Test Engineer who experienced in OTT, Broadcast, or Video Streaming technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating SDKs, Ad Server integrations, Android applications, and Broadcast/Cable workflows to ensure high-quality product releases.
The role involves working closely with Product, Engineering, and Business Development teams to validate new features, troubleshoot issues, and support customer deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and regression of test suites.
- Validate Android applications, SDK integrations, and end-to-end product workflows.
- Test OTT streaming workflows, including Live and VOD playback.
- Validate Broadcast and Cable TV workflows involving MPEG-TS streams and frame-accurate ad insertion.
- Verify Ad Server integrations and ad insertion workflows (CSAI/SSAI).
- Analyze logs, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Document defects using JIRA and participate in Agile development activities.
- Support release validation, UAT, and customer deployment testing.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3–4 years of Software Testing / QA experience.
- Strong experience testing Android applications.
- Good understanding of OTT video streaming concepts.
- Knowledge of Broadcast/Cable TV workflows.
- Experience working with MPEG-TS (Transport Streams).
- Hands-on experience writing and executing test cases.
- Experience using JIRA and working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Scripting experience (Python, Shell, JavaScript, or similar) is mandatory.
- Good debugging, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
It would be very good if you have experience in:
- iOS application testing.
- Experience with HLS/DASH streaming.
- Knowledge of VAST/VMAP, CSAI/SSAI.
- Experience using ADB, Charles Proxy, Wireshark, or similar debugging tools.
- Exposure Android TV, Smart TVs, or Set-Top Boxes.
- Experience validating Ad Server integrations.
- Understanding frame-accurate validation and SCTE-35 markers.
Physical requirements:
- INVIDI is a conscious, clean, well-organized, and supportive office
NOTE:
- Candidate must be legally authorized to work in India
- This is a 5-days-per-week in-office role.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in sprint planning, test execution, defect reviews, and release validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
