Accountant

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, and ensuring full compliance with statutory and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain general ledger and ensure proper classification of financial transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.

• Conduct variance analysis and interpret financial data to support decision-making.
• Provide insights into trends, costs, revenues, and financial performance.
• Monitor key financial metrics and recommend improvements where necessary.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Track budget performance and highlight deviations to management.

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits.
• Maintain compliance with TRA and other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA qualification or progress toward it is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis.
• Solid understanding of Tanzanian tax laws and statutory compliance.
• Conversant with Excel.
