We are looking for a hands-onAccounting Managerto support our growing team. This role will be responsible for managing core accounting functions and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in daily operations, month-end close, and financial compliance. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a small team environment and enjoys a mix of independent work and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
- Assist in preparing for audits and coordinating with external auditors as needed.
- Recommend and help implement process improvements to streamline operations.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to the VP of Finance and leadership team.
- Handle ad hoc projects and financial tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Comfortable working in a small team and independently.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with [specific systems your company uses, e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite].
- Prior experience in a small or mid-sized company environment.
