Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the permanent position of Administrative Representative, in the Life Operations Business Unit. The position is at the level of Grade 7 in the Company’s compensation structure and will report to the Supervisor or designate.
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Records and distributes all incoming and outgoing mail, including assignments and quotations for providers.
- Types monthly invoices, renewals, schedules and policy documents and miscellaneous correspondence.
- Registers all medical claims in the claims adjudication system or in the individual health database accordingly.
- Distributes claims cheques with appropriate documentation to all clients and/or providers and ensures that all files are updated with copies of documents sent to the clients and/or providers
- Answers telephone calls and assists visitors as directed.
- Files all documentation as required.
- Liaises with internal and external customers to provide a high-quality efficient service.
- Performs other related duties assigned and necessary for the development of the Insurance Corporation of Barbados Limited.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Six (6) CXC General or O’ level certificates including Mathematics and English.
- Experience with Power point and Excel applications.
- Must be able to quickly adapt and learn new technology with the needs of ICBL and the Life Division.
