Job Title: Amazon Content Copywriter

Schedule: 9AM - 5PM Pacific Standard Time

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Through the use of company and department practices and procedures, crafts content that captivates, informs and persuades.
  • Includes SEO-rich titles, bullet points, product descriptions, and brand copy
  • Partners with Data Analytics and Market Insights teams to identify top keywords and implement SEO best practices for optimized content
  • Aligns content with the brand’s voice, tone, and messaging while considering Amazon’s content constraints
  • Collaborates with Brand Managers, Content Managers, Graphic Designers, and other team members to manage project status, assignments, content updates, and resolve challenges
  • Utilizes Asana for content requests, task management, and project oversight, ensuring clear timelines and quality control
  • Audits and updates product listings to ensure accuracy and optimization, including product titles, bullet points, descriptions, pricing, and keywords
  • Stay up-to-date with Amazon’s ranking algorithms, keyword optimization techniques, and content compliance guidelines
  • Stays informed on Amazon policies, including Seller Central, Vendor Central, Style Guides, Category Specifics, and Amazon’s Legal and Compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to platform standards for best performance
  • Discusses inconsistencies and recommends solutions with the manager to ensure alignment with client and company requirements
  • Maintains or exceeds department-established performance standards
  • Continues to learn and apply department Trainual subjects according to standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Two to three (2-3) years of experience in copywriting

  • Strong working knowledge of persuasive writing with expertise in crafting engaging, SEO-driven content that resonates with Amazon shoppers and drives sales

  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of department practices, procedures, and specialized functions. Applies good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to assigned clients and projects

  • Strong knowledge of eCommerce, Amazon SEO, and conversion copywriting techniques

  • Excellent project management skills with tools like Asana

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrating clarity and precision

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Sheets, Docs, or similar software

  • Advanced organizational skills with a proven ability to meet project deadlines
