Key Responsibilities
Will be responsible for AML/CFT/Sanctions activities according to the local law and company standards
Define and maintain a robust and defensible methodology for optimizing the Transaction Monitoring (TM) Alert Systems, conducting ad-hoc analysis related to Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) regulatory,
Ensure effective functional monitoring, screening and work adheres to AML/CFT policies and procedures in local and global PayU level,
Have an understanding of the importance of taking a risk based approach to TM and how to build an appropriate enabling operational and management culture, governance and set of controls,
Work closely with IT, Risk Operation (Merchant Decision and Onboarding Teams) as well as the project managers, business analysts and external tool vendor to ensure transaction monitoring remains robust and effective,
Conduct complex alert, case review/investigations on potentially suspicious activities/merchants using various internal and external systems and databases,
Draft comprehensive STR/SAR and apply logic, reasoning, and sound decision-making skills to recommend STR/SAR filings,
Summarize clear and concise findings of the review/investigations,
Provide reports/presentations to BoD/ Senior Management/ Ethics and Compliance Committee,
Experience in cooperation with cross teams and international teams,
Have an ability to identify problems, analysing key information and making connections, in order to find appropriate solutions,
Show openness to change and altering behaviours in order to work effectively when faced with new information, a changing situation and/or environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferably in Social Sciences, Business Administration or other related departments,
Preferably 3-4 years of experience in know your client and background checks in terms of compliance,
Excellent command of the Microsoft Office programmes (mainly Excel, Word, Power point),
Excellent command of both written and spoken English,
Effective organizational, planning and time management skills,
Ability to work independently whilst contributing to the priorities of the team and the business,
Strong commitment to continuous learning and development,
Ability to timely manage multi-tasking requests.
