Planner 5D is looking for a talented Android Engineer to build next-gen mobile experiences for millions of users. You'll work with AI-powered 3D design tools, optimize performance, and experiment with new features to push the limits of what's possible. You will:

  • Work on interesting and complex features, from simpler tasks like building custom views and APIs to 2D/3D graphics, VR, AI, CRDT and similar
  • Develop a modular codebase, conduct thorough code reviews, follow best practices and coding guidelines.
  • Utilize popular Android libraries and Kotlin solutions
  • Be involved in all aspects of the product development, from pixel-perfect design to analytics, payments, and user authentication
  • Write tests, refactor code, improve existing implementations, and fix bugs
  • Collaborate closely with a team of highly skilled developers, designers, and managers.
  • Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience of Android development
  • Android frameworks, libraries, services, ecosystem, … (Android SDK, Dagger, Jetpack, Apache Commons, …)
  • Understanding of best practices - SOLID, STUPID, design patterns, writing tests, writing self-documenting or well documented code, etc.
  • Kotlin and Java programming languages
  • Databases (SQL, SQLite, Room)
  • Concurrent and parallel development, including Kotlin coroutines, RxJava)
  • Supporting technologies - REST, JSON, XML, HTML, Git, Protobuf)
  • Nice to have:

  • 2D and/or 3D graphics (Canvas, OpenGL, Vulkan, …)
  • Experience with app payments and user authentication development
  • Fluent English skills
