About this role
As a Product Care Application Engineer, you focus on the technical support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of existing battery system products. Your Responsibilities
- Providing technical advice and support to customers in selecting and integrating our battery and energy storage solutions
- Preparing RAMs, FMECs, LCC documents, operating manuals, bill of materials, etc., for our products
- Conducting functional, performance, and endurance tests, as well as analyzing measurement data to evaluate battery modules and systems
- Troubleshooting and systematic problem-solving for technical issues or field feedback
- Preparation of technical documentation, application guidelines, and test reports
- Conducting technical training sessions and workshops for customers, service teams, and internal teams
- Close collaboration with R&D and Quality Management to feed practical insights back into product development
- Supporting customer projects from technical clarification through to successful implementation
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Supporting sales with technical expertise during customer meetings and product design
Objectives of the position:
- Ensure optimal use and performance of battery systems at the customer site
- Increase customer satisfaction through expert technical support
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of product quality through field feedback and test analyses
- Strengthen technical expertise within the company through knowledge transfer and documentation
Requirements

Technical degree or technical training (e.g., electrical engineering, mechatronics, energy engineering, battery technology)

In-depth knowledge of battery technologies

Experience with testing, measurement methods, and the evaluation of battery or electronic systems

Knowledge of battery management systems and communication protocols (e.g., CAN)

Familiarity with relevant norms and safety standards (e.g., UN38.3, IEC)

Fluency in spoken and written German and English
