The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly capable and motivatedArchitectural Technologistto join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for translating design concepts into reality, ensuring technical excellence and compliance across multiple simultaneous projects. If you are passionate about technical documentation, driving efficiency, and working with alternative building materials, this is your chance to make a tangible impact on the future of housing in South Africa.
Key Responsibilities
As an Architectural Technologist, you will:
- Own the technical documentation process, including the preparation and submission of local authority and construction documentation.
- Contribute as an integral partof the interdisciplinary design and construction teams.
- Manage and maintaincomprehensive drawing registers and revision control for all projects.
- Proactively identifypotential technical design problems, effectively communicating them to the relevant team members for early resolution.
- Drive initiativein response to project direction and instruction, taking ownership of tasks to meet project goals.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Education:Bachelor's or equivalent professional degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
- Software Proficiency:Expert-level proficiency inRevitis non-negotiable.
- Work Ethic:Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines and project budgets in a fast-paced environment.
- Mindset:A flexible, adaptable, and open attitude towards new technologies and modern ways of working.
- Communication:Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; fluency in English.
- Passion:A genuine interest in and passion for working withalternative building materialsand sustainable construction methods.
- Registration: Registered with SACAP
