Associate Software Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Associate Software Engineer eager to advance in modern cloud software development, contribute to impactful product features, and learn from seasoned engineers.

What You’ll Do
• Develop and enhance features for SolarWinds Observability Cloud utilizing .NET C# and React.
• Engage in the complete software development lifecycle—from gathering requirements and design to implementation, testing, release, production verification, and subsequent improvements.
• Embrace modern cloud development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, automated testing, quality gates, and production monitoring.
• Gain insights into how cloud services function in production, including managing alerts, troubleshooting issues, verifying fixes, and understanding customer impact.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, UX designers, and other teams to deliver meaningful product value.
• Leverage modern AI tools to enhance productivity and accelerate learning.
• Contribute to features that utilize AI to help users interpret telemetry, identify problems, and receive enhanced guidance within the product.

Technologies You’ll Touch
• Backend: .NET, C#, REST APIs, GraphQL
• Frontend: React, TypeScript, component libraries, frontend testing
• Cloud and DevOps: GitHub, CircleCI, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure
• Observability: logs, metrics, traces, alerts, dashboards, and production verification
• AI tooling: modern AI-assisted development tools and experimentation with LLM-powered product features

What We’re Looking For
• A strong motivation to learn, improve, and take ownership of your work.
• Basic hands-on experience with .NET / C# and React / TypeScript gained through school, personal projects, internships, or previous employment.
• A solid understanding of core programming concepts, data structures, algorithms, and the fundamentals of clean code.
• Familiarity with Git and basic software development workflows.
• An interest in modern cloud software development, SaaS products, and production operations.
• A willingness to engage in alert handling, investigation, verification, and the continuous improvement of delivered features.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to ask questions, accept feedback, and learn from code reviews.
• Proficiency in English communication skills for effective collaboration in an international engineering environment.
