Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients of variable sizes across different industries.
- Proactively manage client expectations and be point-of-contact for clients. Working closely with Financial Controller/Director or Senior Executive levels in managing the audit specific requirements.
- Manage international reporting process both to Group Auditors and from Component Auditors
- Proactively manage client expectations and be point-of-contact for clients
- Coordinate and project manage the allocation of staff resources to jobs
- Lead teams on the planning; execution; and completion of audits
- Provide technical auditing and accounting assistance to team members and clients
- Report directly to senior manager/director on engagements
- Assist with managing the team’s financial performance e.g. agreeing and billing of fees; cash collections; monitoring recoverability of WIP etc
- Participate in the coaching, mentoring and appraisal of staff
- Manage and coordinate the pitch/proposals for new work
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- ACA or ACCA with minimum 3 years PQE
- Can demonstrate strong technical auditing and accounting skills, including knowledge of the ISAs and accounting standards FRS100 to FRS102 and IFRS
- Proven management skills and behaviours
- A strong market/commercial awareness
- Understands the operational aspects of managing an audit team and be accountable for results
- Strong communication skills and client service ethos.
- Adaptable to change.
