Automation QA Engineer

Role Description

Transperfect is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to manage and own the automation testing and integration frameworks for CMS & e-commerce systems. We are looking for forward-thinking professionals who are more interested in how things could become and who can thrive in an evolving and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end automation frameworks for UI and API testing to ensure software quality and reliability.

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using TypeScript and Gherkin, following coding and testing best practices.

• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation frameworks aligned with project and organizational standards.

• Integrate automated UI and API test suites into Bitbucket Pipelines using YAML for continuous integration and execution.

• Collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to understand requirements and define test strategies.

• Maintain and enhance automation reporting, logging mechanisms, and parallel execution capabilities.

• Analyze automated test results, investigate failures, identify rootcauses, and continuously improve test stability andeffectiveness.

• Work with REST APIs and Postman for API validation and testing.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience developing overall test strategy and plans for complex system implementations, including a variety of technologies and design patterns

• Proven experience in UI and APIautomationtesting using Playwright, Cypress, Cucumber, Postman, and REST APIs.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript for automation framework development and test script implementation.

• Hands‑on experience with Gherkin / BDD‑based test design and execution.

• Strong understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and scalable framework design.

• Experience integrating automation execution with BitbucketPipelines using YAML.

• Experience working with parallel test execution and automation reporting solutions.

• Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.

• Experience working in Agile and Scrum development methodologies.

• Experience with JIRA, TestRail or Testiny tools

• Knowledge of Postman and Swagger

• Knowledge of databases and content management systems

• Excellent communication skills

• Experience Required:3 to 5 years of experience in QA automation, with a focus on Cypress and Playwright.

Big plus if you have:

• Experience with automation framework migration initiatives.

• Strong debugging, root‑cause analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
