About the Role
As our Banquet Manager, you will lead banquet operations and ensure the flawless execution of meetings, conferences, weddings, social events, and special functions. You will partner closely with Catering & Conference Services, Culinary, and hotel operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of service, quality, and operational excellence.

Your Impact
You will play a vital role in the success of the hotel's banquet operation by leading event execution, developing banquet team members, maintaining service excellence, and ensuring every event exceeds guest expectations.
What You'll Be Doing
Leadership & Ownership
- Lead all banquet operations and daily event execution
- Supervise banquet supervisors, captains, servers, bartenders, and setup teams
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional guest service
- Maintain high service standards while creating an engaging work environment
Event Operations
- Oversee the execution of meetings, conferences, weddings, galas, and social events
- Review and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with accuracy and attention to detail
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and event briefings with banquet staff
- Ensure proper room setup, décor, audiovisual coordination, and event flow
- Partner with Culinary to ensure seamless food production and service timing
- Resolve operational challenges quickly while maintaining a positive guest experience
Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional hospitality throughout every event
- Interact with clients and event planners to ensure expectations are exceeded
- Respond promptly to guest requests and service recovery opportunities
- Create memorable experiences through personalized service and attention to detail
Team Collaboration
- Partner closely with Catering & Conference Services, Sales, Culinary, Stewarding, Engineering, and Front Office teams
- Maintain open communication across departments to ensure successful event execution
- Support hotel-wide initiatives and operational goals
People Leadership
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop banquet team members
- Conduct performance coaching and provide ongoing feedback
- Develop schedules based on business levels while managing labor productivity
- Promote teamwork, engagement, and continuous development
Financial & Business Performance
- Manage banquet labor costs and scheduling
- Monitor payroll, overtime, and productivity
- Assist with departmental budgeting and forecasting
- Control banquet equipment and operating expenses
- Support revenue opportunities through exceptional event execution
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure banquet spaces and equipment are maintained in excellent condition

- Experience coordinating with Culinary, Catering, and Conference Services teams
- Strong understanding of food and beverage service standards
- Experience managing labor costs, payroll, and banquet inventories
- Familiarity with Delphi or similar hotel event management systems preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
