Job Summary for job located in Lake Sumter Landing

The Bartender contributes to the success of TooJay’s by serving the Guests within the restaurant. The Bartender’s responsibility is to serve Guests in a friendly, sincere manner and to do “whatever it takes” to ensure a vital, vibrant, and powerfully flavored Guest dining experience. The Bartender is also responsible to provide friendly, efficient service to the Servers and other team members serving our Guests.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experienced Bartender, must be 21 years of age to apply, with two plus years working in a fast paced full-service bar having served a full variety of alcohol and cocktails, and ideally has served food off of a full-service dining menu
  • Exceptional Customer Service Personality
  • Verify identification and age of customers
  • Flexible and long hours required at times
  • Ability to stand during entire shift, exerting up to 40 pounds as needed
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout the dining and kitchen area throughout the shift
  • Ability to reach overhead, carry trays, handle hot and cold beverages, bend below the waist and communicate intentions
  • Approach all encounters with Guests in a friendly, socially distanced, and service-oriented manner
  • Continuously clean high touch points throughout the restaurant, and when using restrooms
  • Maintain regular schedule in compliance with TooJay’s business levels which may vary based on the needs of the restaurant and check list protocols per Covid-19 standards of cleanliness
  • Maintain high standards of personal grooming, including wearing proper uniform and facial mask and gloves when/where if required and as regulated
