JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for the development and maintenance of specific brand product sales and marketing strategies and the achievement of all related targets. Manage brand principal relationships and ensure alignment with corporate objectives. Commercial and financial analysis/reporting of portfolio results. Ongoing evaluation of customer research, market conditions and competitor data. Organize, oversee and/or execute all sales activation and marketing activities. Collaborate with internal and external teams effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Driving sales growth, market share and ultimately profitability by the successful implementation of approved sales and marketing strategies.
- Actively initiates and implements consumer engaging activations including events and trial-driving initiatives in the market across all on and off trade channels.
- Continuous and proactive collaboration with the commercial team and the wider trade
- Monitoring and allocation of POS material
- Commercial and financial analysis/reporting of portfolio results including providing demand forecasts and monitoring of product inventory levels and expiration dates.
- Ongoing maintenance of brand principal budgets including tracking of actual spend against plan, reforecasting of spend levels and staying within approved marketing spend.
- Make recommendations for retail and wholesale brand pricing considering supplier cost changes and competitor activities to achieve targeted margins.
- Maintain successful relationships with brand principals and trade for the brand specific portfolio.
- Assessment and adjustment of sales methods based on results vs plan & current market trends.
- Proactively work with and support the sales team for existing programs and new products.
- Collaboration with partner activation/ creative agencies to plan and execute activations aligned to brand principal framework.
- Adhering to all company standards, policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
- Other duties assigned by management.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business/ marketing and/or three (3) years relevant sales/marketing work experience
Job-related Experience
- 2 - 5 years of demonstrated success in a dynamic sales environment, preferably in the wholesale food or beverage industry.
- Experience in supplier relationship management.
Computer Skills
- Basic computer skills and a sound working knowledge of Microsoft products specifically Excel and PowerPoint products
