We’re seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth across Melbourne’s North and North West corridor, with a base out of Campbellfield.
You’ll take ownership of your territory, uncovering new opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and delivering sustainable growth across trade and wholesale customers.
This is a highly autonomous role suited to a motivated sales professional who thrives on building a territory and delivering results.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
- Develop and execute territory growth strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion areas
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to uncover opportunities
- Adapt strategies in response to market conditions
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
- Develop engagement plans to increase customer loyalty and spend
- Negotiate and close high-value agreements
- Represent Truckline at industry and networking events
Sales Performance
- Proactively generate new business through prospecting and referrals
- Deliver compelling proposals and tailored solutions
- Manage your sales pipeline to consistently meet and exceed targets
Collaboration
- Work closely with branch teams, sales, marketing, and product teams
- Share market insights to support business strategy
- Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders
Reporting & Insights
- Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends
- Analyse data to inform decision-making
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership
Qualifications
About You
- 3–5 years’ experience in B2B sales or business development
- Proven track record of sales growth and account management
- Background in automotive, commercial vehicles, industrial, or related sectors (highly regarded)
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own territory
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel across your region
