The Business Unit Manager oversees the performance and day-to-day operations of the plant contributing to the development and execution of business objectives and growth plans.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Define and implement the industrial strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
· Lead and oversee site operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective
Production.
· Drive performance across production, maintenance, logistics, quality, and HSE.
· Ensure strong inventory control, asset reliability, and operational efficiency.
· Deliver the Business Unit P&L and financial performance targets.
· Translate market demand into operational plans in collaboration with commercial teams.
· Support regional growth initiatives.
· Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and feed safety standards.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize costs and efficiency.
· Develop and lead teams, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and engagement.
· Ensure full compliance with regulatory, environmental, and governance requirements.
Qualification and Profile:
· Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
· Minimum 10 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
· Strong technical knowledge of production and operations management
· Proven leadership experience with team management responsibilities
· Strong financial acumen with P&L ownership
· Good knowledge of ERP systems
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
· Solid judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex situations, use data effectively, and make timely, well-informed decisions in a dynamic environment
