Sunayu, LLC has an exciting new opportunity to support the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC). We are looking for professionals to help us manage and modernize the IT infrastructure that drives world-class language instruction for the DLIFLC’s diverse academic community.
The person in this position is responsible for performing analysis, modification, documentation, and support of daily operations for the data warehousing and reporting system. Responsibilities include supporting the data development/sustainment lifecycle, including data profiling, ETL and data model design and development/sustainment, testing, and support. The duties will include planning, installation, maintenance during or after-work hours, troubleshooting, and managing all Database Developer servers and applications.
Position Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and developing data warehouses.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing complex data warehouse projects
- Experience with relational database design/modeling using tools. Expert-level SQL coding/querying skills in SQL Server and/or MySQL
- Proficient in SQL and advanced SQL query optimization techniques
- Expertise in data warehouse technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, or Teradata
- Knowledge of ETL tools and methodologies
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts (dimensional, star schema, snowflake schema)
- Programming skills (Python, Java) may be beneficial depending on the environment
Education:
- Associate’s degree (AA/AS) in Information Technology or related field OR 2‑year technical diploma OR 2+ years of directly relevant hands‑on IT support experience. Bachelor’s preferred, not required.
Certifications:
- IAT Level I (A+ CE or Network+ CE) — required. IAT Level II (Security+, CySA+, or SSCP) — preferred for shift leads/escalation or when privileged admin access is assigned. Vendor OS cert (Windows or Apple) preferred for imaging/break‑fix.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. The ability to move files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary would be required.

Pay Rate
Salary range considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
