Overview
Seeking a skilled Cellular / Radio Frequency Engineer (Electronics Engineer) to support mission-critical communications and spectrum operations. This role focuses on spectrum management, cellular frequency coordination, and regulatory compliance to enable effective training and operational objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in RF engineering and experience working with federal regulatory processes and spectrum coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate radio frequency (RF) spectrum usage to support mission and training activities
- Work with cellular frequency bands and coordinate with license holders to ensure proper usage
- Prepare and submit FCC Experimental Special Temporary Authority (STA) and other licensing applications
- Coordinate and deconflict spectrum usage with customers and stakeholders to meet training objectives
- Monitor and ensure compliance with FCC regulations and spectrum policies
- Analyze RF environments and recommend solutions to optimize performance and minimize interference
- Support planning and execution of communications systems in operational environments
- Maintain documentation and records related to spectrum usage and licensing
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in spectrum management
- Experience working with cellular frequencies and RF systems
- Experience coordinating with spectrum license owners
- Hands-on experience with FCC licensing processes, including Experimental STA applications
- Experience coordinating and deconflicting spectrum in support of operational or training environments
Core Skills
- Strong knowledge of RF engineering and spectrum management principles
- Familiarity with FCC regulations and licensing requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and coordination abilities
