Magic Memories is seeking a dedicated, organized, and enthusiastic Assistant Director to help lead our school community. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who is passionate about supporting children, families, and educators while helping a school thrive.
What You'll Do
As Assistant Director, you will partner with the Director and leadership team to ensure the successful daily operation of the school.
Leadership & Operations
- Support the daily management and operations of the center.
- Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, supervision, and compliance with child-to-staff ratios.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.
- Help oversee enrollment, attendance, and overall school performance.
Staff Development
- Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate teachers and support staff.
- Foster a positive team culture built on collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Support staff retention and engagement initiatives.
Family & Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with families and serve as a key point of support.
- Promote effective communication between families, teachers, and leadership.
- Help create a welcoming school community where children and families feel valued.
Program Excellence
- Ensure compliance with company policies, licensing regulations, and quality standards.
- Assist in planning and implementing special programs, including summer camp and enrichment activities.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance program quality and family satisfaction.
Professional Growth
- Participate in leadership meetings, trainings, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
- Stay current on required certifications, training, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early childhood education setting
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing exceptional care and educational experiences for children
- At least 1 year of administrative or supervisory experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in:
- Early Childhood Education
- Child Development
- Special Education
- Elementary Education
- Human Services
- Or a related field
