Cleveland House is looking to recruit a Cleaner to join our team across all wards. This is a part-time role of 24.5 hours a week

We know that a clean, safe environment is essential to delivering outstanding care. That’s why our Cleaners play such an important role in our services.

We’re looking for people who care and take pride in contributing to an essential service. You don’t need previous experience – just a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. In return, we’ll support you with full training and the opportunity to be part of a team that makes a real difference every day.

Working hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9am-2pm and Wednesday 9am-1.30pm

Cleveland House is split into four separate homes, offering lots of space and a relaxed, homely environment. Each home has eight bedrooms, a communal bathroom, dining room and lounge area.

Arundel and Espie homes are on the ground floor, supporting people with complex medical conditions that require tracheostomy and/or ventilator support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the site
  • Following cleaning schedules and Priory standards
  • Using cleaning equipment safely and effectively
  • Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or hazards
  • Working as part of a team to deliver a high-quality service
  • Supporting colleagues where required

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.
  • Good standard of English, with basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to carry out an active role throughout the day
