About the role
We are looking for an experienced colleague to join our CSRD team as Climate Reporting & Assurance Manager. The role is anchored in Group Finance and focuses on strengthening the robustness, consistency, and auditability of DFDS’ climate and GHG reporting under the CSRD framework.
With core reporting structures already established and two reporting cycles completed, the organisation is now entering a phase focused on maturity, governance, and assurance readiness. Climate reporting is delivered through collaboration across several functions and operational data owners, in which your role is to act as a counterpart and assurance partner.
In this role, you will be expected to:
Act as audit lead for climate reporting, serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors
Strengthen governance, documentation and controls around climate data
Support Group Sustainability in the continued development of key climate accounting methodologies
Partner with execution teams across the organisation to ensure methodologies are applied consistently and in alignment with CSRD and GHG Protocol
Review and analyse reporting outputs
Contribute to cross-cutting areas such as double materiality assessments and methodological alignment across other environmental, social and governance matters
Support the development and effective use of reporting systems and tools
You will report to and work closely with the Head of CSRD Reporting in a small, specialised team. We value an informal, trust-based working environment that encourages shared problem-solving on complex matters, and we strive to make our work meaningful and engaging.
About you
As a person, you are structured, analytically strong, and comfortable operating at the intersection of finance, sustainability, and audit. You bring a pragmatic mindset and are confident working with multiple stakeholders where responsibilities are shared.
You can balance collaboration with constructive challenges, and you are particularly motivated by ensuring that reporting stands up to external scrutiny.
Moreover, we imagine that the ideal candidate brings:
A relevant academic background, typically a Master’s degree or equivalent, in finance, accounting, engineering, climate science, or a related analytical discipline
Solid experience working with climate or GHG reporting in a regulated or audit-exposed environment (e.g., listed company, consultancy, or audit firm)
Strong practical understanding of CSRD and the GHG Protocol, including boundaries, assumptions, and estimation approaches
Hands-on experience leading or managing audit processes, including direct interaction with auditors
Proven ability to develop and formalise methodologies, documentation, and controls that meet assurance requirements
Experience working in cross-functional setups with multiple data owners and contributors
A structured and detail-oriented approach, with a strong focus on data quality, transparency, and reliability
