- Be the point of contact with customs authorities, courier companies, and carriers for different issues and negotiation
- Stay abreast of changes in import or export laws/regulations
- Classify goods according to the tariff coding system
- Manage, track, maintain and review (Quality Control) all import/export information and documentation
- Coordinate goods dispatch, storage, and delivery
- Be able to collect and analyze current shipment data and generate reports
- Monitor export/import licenses validity and renewals
- Support operational issues regarding customs clearance or shipment delivery
- Interact with dedicated study vendors and other PSI departments, as needed
Qualifications
- Full working proficiency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus
- College/University degree - relevant areas are a plus: commerce, trade, international trade
- Broker/custom experience
- Experience with Import/Export operations in other CROs/Pharmaceutical companies for Chile is required; experience with other countries is a plus
- Familiar with import/export operations process and relevant documentation
- Strong knowledge of international customs regulations, import/export laws, and tariff coding systems
- MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Ability to plan and work in a dynamic team environment
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage complex operational issues
