Clinical Trials Import/Export Operations Specialist

• Be the point of contact with customs authorities, courier companies, and carriers for different issues and negotiation
• Stay abreast of changes in import or export laws/regulations
• Classify goods according to the tariff coding system
• Manage, track, maintain and review (Quality Control) all import/export information and documentation
• Coordinate goods dispatch, storage, and delivery
• Be able to collect and analyze current shipment data and generate reports
• Monitor export/import licenses validity and renewals
• Support operational issues regarding customs clearance or shipment delivery
• Interact with dedicated study vendors and other PSI departments, as needed

Qualifications

• Full working proficiency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus
• College/University degree - relevant areas are a plus: commerce, trade, international trade
• Broker/custom experience
• Experience with Import/Export operations in other CROs/Pharmaceutical companies for Chile is required; experience with other countries is a plus 
• Familiar with import/export operations process and relevant documentation
• Strong knowledge of international customs regulations, import/export laws, and tariff coding systems
• MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
• Ability to plan and work in a dynamic team environment
• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage complex operational issues
