Position / Assignment Purpose :

Responsible for end-to-end sourcing strategy, supplier selection and development, cost management, and commercial negotiations across assigned commodities and EMS partners.
The role drives NPI sourcing execution, manages supplier performance and risk, leads cost reduction initiatives, and ensures on-time delivery and compliance with company standards.

Close collaboration with engineering, program management, quality, and operations teams is required to achieve business goals.



Key Accountabilities / Statement of Work :

  • Own sourcing strategy and supplier base for PCB, passive components, crystal, packaging, gap filler, and EMS
  • Lead RFQ process, supplier selection, benchmarking, and cost negotiation (NPI + sustaining)
    Develop and execute annual cost reduction roadmap and tracking
  • Manage supplier performance: quality, delivery, cost, service (QBR/scorecard)
  • Lead supplier relationship management and escalation handling (shortage, quality, capacity)
  • Contract management including pricing agreement, LTAs, and commercial terms
  • Ensure dual sourcing strategy and supply risk mitigation (BCP, second source qualification)
  • Support EMS commercial management: quarterly RFQ, cost review, and capacity planning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on BOM optimization and cost engineering
  • Ensure purchasing process compliance, audit readiness, and data accuracy
  • Support new supplier introduction and supplier capability development
  • Lead Non-China sourcing / site diversification where applicable



Required Education, Experience, and Competencies :

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • 8+ years of sourcing/procurement experience in electronics industry
  • Proven experience in managing PCB, passive components, or EMS suppliers
  • Strong background in NPI sourcing and mass production support
  • Experience in cost analysis, should-cost modeling, and contract negotiation
  • Familiarity with supply chain risk management and dual sourcing strategy
  • Experience working with cross-functional/global teams
  • Supplier audit and quality system knowledge (e.g., ISO9001) is preferred
  • Strong negotiation and commercial acumen
  • Deep understanding of electronics components market (PCB, passive, crystal, etc.)
  • Analytical skills (cost breakdown, TCO analysis, data-driven decision making)
  • Supplier relationship management and influencing skills
  • Project management capability (especially NPI phase)
  • Risk identification and problem-solving capability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
