About The Role

We want Scale Space to be the best place for scaleups to innovate and grow and we want to give them a great space, with fantastic support in a vibrant and supportive community. The Front of House Team will be responsible for making sure we deliver both operational excellence and a personal touch in the handling of our members’ needs.

You will be key to delivering that great experience every day. You will help our building to run smoothly for the benefit of our members, as well as being able to support our members to grow their businesses by targeting introductions and support to them.

You will create an inviting and friendly environment for our members and visitors whilst ensuring processes are followed to maximise efficiency. You will help to make our building a great place to visit and a great place to work. As part of the most visible team in the building, you’ll help us build a great culture and set our standards for great service.

Ultimately, the service provided by the Front of House team is the catalyst for providing customers with reasons to come to our venues and to continue their journey with us. Hence having a positive, proactive, and overall can-do attitude at all times is crucial!

About the Person

A proven track record of working within a customer service environment that delivers an exceptional, first-class service would position you very well for this role.

Key skills and attributes include:

  • ‘Customer First’ attitude
  • Warm, outgoing and friendly personality
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good computer skills (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Great prioritisation skills and ability to take on tasks proactively
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a courteous, efficient, and helpful Front of House service for all users and visitors to Scale Space and acting as the first point of contact for enquiries
  • Recognising key members and guests, greeting them by name, building strong relationships and understanding the activities of their company
  • Answering the main phone line in a polite and gracious manner while ensuring messages are passed on to the relevant person
  • Ensuring all guests are signed in and have the appropriate access card
  • Keeping the front of house immaculate for members and visitors
  • Checking that key facilities (e.g. meeting rooms) are correctly set up for members
  • Conducting occasional building tours for members and/or visitors
  • Assisting in planning and delivering business and social events in the building for members and external customers
  • Helping customers with Building Fire Safety procedures and Health & Safety regulations
