We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Interventional Cardiologist to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care with expertise in diagnostic and interventional cardiology, delivering advanced, evidence-based treatment while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases.
• Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and a wide range of interventional cardiac procedures, including Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), angioplasty, and coronary stenting.
• Manage patients presenting with acute coronary syndromes (ACS), myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and other complex cardiovascular conditions.
• Interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, cardiac CT, and other non-invasive cardiac investigations.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations.
• Participate in emergency cardiac services, including primary PCI and STEMI call coverage, as per departmental requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Cardiothoracic Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Vascular Surgery, Radiology, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure comprehensive follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians, fellows, residents, and allied healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and clinical governance standards.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS/MD with a postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology (DM, CCT, FRCP, American Board, Canadian Board, Arab Board, or equivalent).
• Fellowship or advanced training in Interventional Cardiology from a recognized institution.
• Board Certification or equivalent recognized Consultant qualification in Cardiology.
• Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience at the Consultant level, including significant experience in interventional cardiology.
• Eligibility for or possession of a Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi Consultant License. Candidates eligible for licensing are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong expertise in coronary interventions, cardiac catheterization, complex PCI, and the management of cardiovascular emergencies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• PQR Tier 1 and Tier 2 qualified professionals will be given preference.
• Experience working in internationally accredited hospitals is highly desirable.
• Candidates with clinical experience in DOH (Abu Dhabi), DHA (Dubai), or MOHAP (Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain) licensed healthcare facilities are highly preferred. GCC experience is an added advantage.
• Fellowship training or additional expertise in Structural Heart Interventions, Complex PCI, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), Peripheral Vascular Interventions, Intravascular Imaging (IVUS/OCT), or Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) interventions is an added advantage.
• Experience in high-volume cardiac catheterization laboratories and tertiary care cardiac centers is preferred.
• Active participation in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and medical education is highly desirable.
