Contract Data & Business Analyst

Campspot is home to the valuable data park owners need to make critical business decisions. Our platform empowers customers to pull insightful reports that drive day-to-day operations, analyze seasonal revenue, and view heat maps of a campground’s most popular sites.

Behind our powerful data is a highly motivated professional who drives our report queries. In this role, you will write SQL queries, refactor legacy reporting into a modern data warehouse solution, and assist with technical support issues as needed.

As Campspot grows, our reporting product presents exciting opportunities for modernization, cost savings, and standardization. We are looking for a collaborative problem-solver ready to meet these challenges head-on. You will join our Data Platform Development Team and work closely with the Product Team, ensuring you have the support and resources needed to succeed. Key Responsibilities

• Query Development: Write, optimize, and maintain efficient SQL queries.
• Data Modernization: Refactor legacy reporting systems into a modern data warehouse solution to improve standardization and cost efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product and Development teams to support ongoing product enhancements.
• Technical Support: Assist with technical support issues and troubleshooting as needed.
• Knowledge Sharing: Pair with other developers to solve problems and write clear technical documentation.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• SQL: 1+ years of professional experience writing queries.
• Programming: 1+ years of experience with a standard programming language.
• Version Control: Working knowledge of Git or similar version control systems.
• Collaboration: Comfortable pair-programming and collaborating with team members.
• Language: Basic to Intermediate English proficiency (ability to understand instructions and handle basic team communication).
• Required location: Brazil

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points)

• Experience with Javascript, Java, Kotlin, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and Snowflake databases.
• Familiarity with data modeling frameworks like dbt.
• Familiarity with data orchestration frameworks like Apache Airflow.

Compensation & Contract Details

• Rate: Starting at $20.00 USD / hour(Final rate dependent on experience and skill level).
• Duration: ~6-month contract.
