Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Schedule:Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour break)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our growing construction team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong on-site construction and contract management experience to take ownership of projects from start to finish.

You will be responsible for delivering restoration, refurbishment, and planned maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion
  • Oversee budgets, costs, and resource allocation
  • Manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all sites
  • Coordinate site meetings and project planning
  • Prepare estimates, tenders, valuations, and reports
  • Monitor performance, profitability, and project delivery
  • Resolve technical and operational issues
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Identify improvements and efficiencies across projects

Skills & Experience

  • Experience as a Contracts Manager in construction, refurbishment, maintenance, or social housing
  • Strong on-site construction background
  • Experience managing contractors and subcontractors
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong understanding of budgets, costs, and contract performance
  • Solid knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently

Desirable

  • CSCS Card, SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Experience in planned maintenance or social housing
  • Quality assurance and performance monitoring experience
