About this role

Empro Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and skilled Cook to join our healthcare team. Our Cook will play a crucial role in preparing and serving meals that meet dietary standards and promote the health and satisfaction of our clients.

Compensation:$25/hr.

Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM including every other Saturday & Sunday

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes and nutritional guidelines.
  • Ensure proper portion sizes based on dietary requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Manage inventory of food supplies and notify supervisors of shortages.
  • Collaborate with dietary aides and nursing staff to meet patient nutritional needs.
  • Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
  • Basic knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to dietary restrictions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment as needed.
  • Passion for preparing nutritious and appealing meals.
