Responsibilities,

  • prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, menus, and dietary requirements (including modified diets such as low sodium, diabetic, or texture-modified diets)
  • Ensure food is properly portioned, plated, and presented in an appetizing manner
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines in compliance with state, local, and facility regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, equipment, and food storage areas
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking, labeling, and rotating food supplies (FIFO method)
  • Collaborate with dietary managers, nursing staff, and other kitchen team members to accommodate residents’ dietary needs and preferences
  • Monitor food quality and temperature to ensure safety and consistency
  • Participate in kitchen cleaning schedules and deep cleaning tasks
  • Support special events, holidays, and catered meals as required
  • Qualifications

  • Must have Cook experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed

  • Part time every other weekend
