The Position
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Dance Specialist to work 30–35 hours per week, delivering high-quality dance sessions to young people within educational settings. As part of our PE provision, you will plan and deliver a range of dance styles and themed lessons, working in line with our delivery standards. You will teach the same groups each term, allowing you to track progress, assess development, and build strong relationships while supporting pupils in developing their skills and confidence.
This role requires a confident, knowledgeable, and adaptable individual with the ability to engage and inspire young people of all abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver PE lessons: Dance and a variety of sports to primary school aged pupils
- Be assertive and respected by pupils
- Provide an exciting learning experience
- Be versatile and committed to learning
- Be reliable and flexible
- Demonstrate professionalism to clients
- Travel to various locations and settings
Knowledge and Experience Requirements
- A dance teaching qualification or equivalent
- 1 years teaching experience
- Experience creating and following lesson plans
- An interest in delivering other areas of the PE Curriculum (Gymnastics, Games, OAA, Athletics)
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Risk Assessment experience
- Experience working with a variety of ages
- Committed to continuous professional development
- First Aid and Child Protection Training - Training can be provided
- Committed to continuous professional development
- Willingness to undergo training is essential
- A driving License and your own transport are essential as you will be travelling to multiple locations
