About the Role
SteerBridge Strategies is seeking a Data Engineer to support aviation analytics and aircraft readiness initiatives at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. This position will focus on building and maintaining data pipelines, supporting cloud-based data environments, and ensuring high-quality data is available for analytics and operational decision-making.
The ideal candidate has strong SQL and Python skills, experience working with ETL processes, and a background supporting cloud-based data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows
- Build and optimize processes for collecting, transforming, and loading data
- Support data integration across multiple systems and data sources
- Ensure reliable and scalable data solutions for analytics initiatives
Database Management
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries
- Manage and support relational databases and data warehouses
- Troubleshoot data issues and improve overall data performance
Cloud & Data Platform Support
- Support cloud-based data environments using AWS or Azure
- Work with modern data platforms and tools to improve data accessibility and efficiency
- Assist with data storage, transformation, and pipeline optimization
Data Quality & Automation
- Monitor and validate data quality and integrity
- Automate recurring data processes and workflows
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and processing issues
