Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and evaluations
• Deliver prophylaxis treatments and scaling and root planing procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
• Accurately document treatment notes using AI-assisted documentation tools
• Utilize advanced technology including CBCT imaging, Medit scanners, and digital diagnostic tools
• Review patient histories and maintain HIPAA-compliant records
• Collaborate closely with dentists and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Build long-term patient relationships through compassionate communication and personalized care
• Identify and communicate treatment recommendations effectively
• Support a positive, team-oriented office culture

Requirements

Must Have

• Valid Texas Dental Hygienist License
• Experience performing scaling and root planing for periodontal treatment
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to explain treatment plans in a compassionate and understandable manner
• Commitment to maintaining accurate and HIPAA-compliant patient records
• Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to patient care

Nice to Have

• 3+ years of clinical dental hygiene experience
• Current laser certification
• Willingness to obtain laser certification if not currently certified
• Experience working with modern digital dental technologies
