About the Role
We are looking for a Design Coordinator to join our PDS team in our Dallas, TX. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate integration between design and construction teams to optimize project outcomes.
- Manage and coordinate the design process for complex, large-scale commercial projects.
- Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications across all CSI divisions.
- Conduct cross-discipline drawing coordination and design quality reviews.
- Assess design document status by phase (SD, DD, CD) and communicate expectations.
- Identify, track, and address challenges during design and construction phases.
- Contribute constructability and technical expertise to design evolution.
- Understand risks and roles associated with various project delivery methods.
- Interpret contract documents and agreements.
- Coach and mentor junior associates.
- Communicate effectively and manage time efficiently in a highly collaborative environment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related design/construction field.
- Experience managing complex, large-scale commercial projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Preferred:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the A/E industry or related fields.
- Active Architecture license.
- Experience in aviation projects.
- Familiarity with contract documents and project delivery methods.
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.
