Tasks

This is an on-site, backfill role for an Information Technology Support Engineer based in Mägenwil. The Information Technology Support Engineer will provide hands-on technical support for end users, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, managing tickets, and escalating complex problems when required. The role involves supporting desktop and laptop deployments, performing routine system checks, troubleshooting network connectivity, and assisting with Windows and Office installations. The engineer will collaborate with other team members to support site surveys, audits, and IMAC (Installs, Moves, Adds, Changes) activities. Responsibilities also include documenting solutions, maintaining accurate asset records, and ensuring adherence to HTS standards and client service-level agreements.

Requirements

  • Strong Technical Support and Help Desk Support skills, including ticket management and user-focused problem resolution.
  • Solid foundation in Information Technology, with familiarity in hardware, software, operating systems, and basic networking concepts.
  • Proficient Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, peripherals, and common enterprise applications.
  • Experience in System Administration tasks such as user account management, software deployment, and routine system maintenance.
  • Relevant certification(s) such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mägenwil, manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with global and local teams.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; additional local language skills are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in field support, smart hands services, or data center/enterprise environments is beneficial.
