Development Team Lead

David Kennedy Recruitment is working with an award-winning multi-licensed, broker who offers online CFD trading on FX, crypto, oil, metals, shares, and indices and seeking to onboard Development Team Lead to join their team in Limassol.

Position: Development Team Lead

Location: Limassol, Cyprus

Work model: hybrid (3 days office, 2 days home) after initial 3 month nesting period

Employment type: Full-time

Remuneration: base salary + bonuses.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and lead a team of Full-Stack engineers

• Plan and manage team priorities, and delivery timelines

• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and coaching

• Participate in technical decision-making, including system design, tooling, and

• technology stack

• Develop, maintain, and support API, microservices and associated databases

• Integrate applications with external resources like network systems, search engines and information services

• Partner with trading, product, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa

• Participate in functional and technical analysis

• Understand the business objectives and ensure they are achieved

• Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools and training users

• Provide estimates of time needed for tasks and ensure timely completion of tasks

• Write well designed, well structured, and well tested code while adhering to coding best practices

• Develop and maintain web-enabled capabilities and custom applications

• Ensure systems meet uptime, performance, and disaster recovery requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development

• 2+ years of experience managing or leading a development team

• Strong experience with NodeJS, ExpressJS and modern JavaScript (ES6+)

• Experience with web technologies including HTML5 and CSS3

• Familiarity with AWS services

• Strong communication, leadership and mentoring skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Fluent in English

• Experience in forex or iGaming industry is an advantage.
