About this role
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a DevOps Manager in the United States.
This role sits at the core of a rapidly scaling healthcare technology environment where infrastructure reliability, security, and cost efficiency directly impact systems used in payment integrity and claims analytics. You will act as both a senior individual contributor and a hands-on leader, shaping how cloud infrastructure is built, deployed, and optimized across Azure and AWS environments. Working closely with engineering, security, and product teams, you will define the standards for infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native architecture. The environment is fast-moving, highly collaborative, and deeply technical, with strong expectations for ownership and autonomy. This is a key leadership position responsible not only for maintaining production stability but also for modernizing the platform foundation. You will also play a central role in scaling the DevOps function and mentoring engineers as the organization grows.
Accountabilities
- Lead the DevOps function as a player-coach, contributing hands-on to infrastructure design while mentoring and developing a growing DevOps team.
- Design, build, and maintain deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation using Terraform and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
- Drive cloud modernization efforts, including migration from Azure-heavy environments toward AWS-focused architecture while ensuring system stability.
- Establish and enforce infrastructure-as-code standards, targeting high coverage and consistency across all systems.
- Own cloud cost optimization initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce Azure and AWS spend through architectural and operational improvements.
- Integrate security and compliance requirements (SOC 2, HITRUST) directly into infrastructure design and deployment processes.
- Guide adoption of cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and containerized workloads where appropriate.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and security leaders to align infrastructure strategy with business goals.
- Competitive base salary ($150,000–$185,000 depending on experience)
- Performance-based bonus
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off and standard holidays
- Remote work flexibility within the United States
- Opportunity to shape and scale a DevOps organization from the ground up
- High autonomy and leadership visibility in technical decision-making
- Exposure to modern cloud infrastructure and healthcare technology at scale
Requirements
Candidates should have 10+ years of experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering, including recent hands-on technical work alongside leadership responsibilities. You bring deep expertise in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code, with the ability to design scalable, production-grade systems. Strong experience across AWS and Azure environments is essential, along with proven ability to build and manage CI/CD pipelines from code commit to production deployment. You are proficient in containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes, and comfortable working in Linux-based systems with scripting experience. Prior experience leading or mentoring engineers is required, along with exposure to regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government where compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or HITRUST apply. You are a pragmatic problem-solver who can make decisions independently, collaborate effectively across teams, and operate with a strong sense of ownership.
