You will define and drive the customer master data strategy while shaping the operating model, governance framework, and data quality standards that support large-scale business and platform transformation. Acting as a key cross-functional leader, you will partner with Operations, Finance, Sales, IT, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure trusted and actionable customer data across systems. This position plays a critical role in reducing operational risk, improving data-driven decision-making, and enabling seamless customer experiences across digital and commercial ecosystems. You will also lead and develop a team responsible for data stewardship and governance execution. This is a high-impact leadership role where data integrity directly supports revenue protection and organizational efficiency.
Accountabilities
In this role, you will define, govern, and execute the enterprise strategy for customer master data while ensuring high-quality, trusted data across all systems and business functions.
- Define and execute the enterprise Customer Master Data strategy, roadmap, and operating model aligned with business transformation goals
- Establish ownership, standards, and governance for customer master entities, hierarchies, identifiers, and attributes
- Lead data governance frameworks, including stewardship models, escalation paths, and decision-making structures
- Define and enforce data quality metrics, SLAs, and controls to ensure consistency and reliability across systems
- Oversee customer data operations, reducing errors, inefficiencies, and downstream impacts such as billing or order issues
- Partner with IT and enterprise data teams on MDM platforms, integrations, and system architecture evolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions
- Lead and develop a team of data stewards and analysts, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
- 10+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or Enterprise Data Operations
- Proven experience managing customer or user data in multi-system, enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of customer data structures including accounts, hierarchies, identifiers, and lifecycle management
- Experience supporting digital platforms, SaaS, or subscription-based business models with entitlement or access data
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across Operations, IT, Finance, Sales, and Product teams
- Experience with enterprise MDM tools (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDG) is strongly preferred
- Background in order-to-cash, billing, or digital fulfillment processes is a plus
- Strong strategic thinking and hands-on execution capabilities in dynamic environments
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
