- We are looking for motivated new grad students to become part of our DME Team. This is the perfect opportunity for graduating students who are interested in keniesiology or becoming a Physical Therapist. No prior experience needed. We will train. Work with a wide spectrum of highly regarded orthopedic surgeons and healthcare providers in the Bay Area. Gain considerable experience in patient care. Grow as a professional working in a fun, fast-paced, collaborative, and diverse environment.
What You'll Do
- Assisting in applying and removing casts, splints, and dressings as directed
- Assisting in fitting patients with braces, boots, other DME as ordered and directed by physician
- Performing gait training and crutch fitting as directed
- Providing patient education materials, communicates physician advice/instructions to patient
- Ensuring that all necessary documentation is obtained as it relates to payer requirements and standard operating procedures
- Performing patient care responsibilities as assigned, which may include scheduling patients, inventory maintenance, order processing, delivery, explanation of insurance benefits, and courtesy follow up calls
- Float among our Dublin, San Ramon, and Oakland clinics
- Additional duties as assigned

- Ability to make decisions and solve problems
- Ability to triage patient care questions related to post-op, post-injury, infection, complications, etc
- Work effectively as team member with physicians and other staff
