The Electrical Commissioning Engineer plays a key role in the acceptance phase of projects, ensuring electrical systems are installed, tested, validated, and documented in line with approved procedures and project requirements. This position involves hands-on commissioning activities, troubleshooting, and supporting the successful completion of electrical systems for mission-critical facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Execute electrical commissioning activities including testing, validation, and documentation.
- Perform technical reviews of electrical designs and develop test scripts.
- Conduct functional and performance tests on electrical equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, isolation procedures, and LOTO protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for commissioning progress and results.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment and timely completion of tasks.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
- Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, commissioning processes, and safety standards.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and execute test procedures.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and coordination abilities within multidisciplinary teams.
Education / Licenses / Certifications:
- QQI Level 6 Advanced Trade Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
