As an Electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME) assigned to Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Commissioning (CX), you will provide technical leadership and oversight for electrical systems on mission critical data center projects. This role is responsible for ensuring electrical installations, testing, and commissioning activities meet design intent, code requirements, and industry standards. The Electrical SME will work closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to support safe, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Electrical Subject Matter Expert supporting QA, QC, and Commissioning activities on mission critical data center projects.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, submittals, and design documents to verify compliance with design intent, codes, and applicable standards.
- Perform field inspections of electrical installations to confirm workmanship quality, material integrity, and adherence to approved documents.
- Witness and oversee electrical testing, functional checks, and commissioning activities, including but not limited to switchgear, generators, UPS systems, grounding, and power distribution.
- Verify systems are ready for energization and safe operation in accordance with project requirements.
- Identify, document, and support resolution of electrical deficiencies, non-conformances, and punch list items in coordination with project and construction teams.
- Maintain accurate inspection, testing, and commissioning documentation, reports, and records.
- Provide technical guidance and clarification to project stakeholders related to electrical code compliance, industry best practices, and commissioning standards.
- Support coordination between contractors, commissioning agents, and client representatives to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all project activities.

Skills Required:
- 5-7 years of working with electrical codes, standards, means, methods, and performance metrics.
- Proven experience performing QA/QC inspections and commissioning support for electrical systems in mission critical or data center environments.
- Ability to review technical documentation and identify compliance gaps or constructability concerns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex electrical issues in the field.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
Education / Licenses / Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (not required).
- Relevant industry experience will be strongly considered.
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
