Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly of electronic components, subassemblies, and finished products
- Execute hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components per work instructions
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Inspect work for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards
- Troubleshoot and rework assemblies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation following 5S principles
- Support production schedules and meet daily output targets
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process improvements
Required Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of electronics assembly and soldering experience
- Proficiency in hand soldering (IPC standards preferred)
- Ability to read technical drawings and assembly instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic understanding of electronic components and tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification
- Experience with SMT and through-hole assembly
- Familiarity with ESD-safe handling procedures
- Experience in automotive, diagnostics, or related electronics manufacturing
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production floor environment
- Exposure to standard assembly tools, soldering equipment, and testing devices
- Use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures required
