Job Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons in multidisciplinary procedures
- Assemble supplies and equipment for scheduled GI procedures
- Aid in room turnovers, patient positioning, and preparing for following day cases
- Inspect equipment and instruments for proper working condition
- Maintain availability of instruments and supplies to avoid delays
- Correctly use, care for, and sterilize instruments, supplies, and equipment as directed
- Extensive ability to troubleshoot equipment issues related to applicable procedures
- Assist in storing and stocking supplies in the procedure rooms
Required Education
- High school diploma or GED Certification
- Endoscopy Certification SGNA recognized preferred
Qualifications and Skills
- GI or ASC experience, 2 years preferred
- Familiarity with procedural instruments and equipment
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods; ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Ability to communicate effectively and promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, and general public
- Ability to be punctual, make decisions, and solve problems
