They will be responsible for MI reporting and managing the flow of work through the Portfolio.

About the work

Who the specialist will work with PMO specialists, Portfolio, Programme and Project Managers, Other Delivery Managers and Digital specialists, Suppliers, Commercial and Finance specialists, Business Stakeholders and Senior Management.

What the specialist will work on

  • Management of flow of work and governance of initiating work streams into the Immigration Portfolio
  • Support Senior Management team and senior stakeholders with the provision of appropriate reporting MI, KPIs and governance structures to facilitate management decision making by ensuring the status of the Portfolio is visible and current
  • Supporting Portfolio Managers by providing guidance to ensure that PMO practices and standards are adhered to across the Portfolio
  • Evolving and enhancing existing change processes

Work setup

Address where the work will take place Croydon.

Working arrangements Monday to Friday on site. A professional working day, hours and working pattern as needed to deliver the service in an efficient way. Mainly based between our Fleet Street, London and Croydon offices. Travel to Westminster will be required.

Qualifications

Skills and experience

Essential skills and experience

  • 6 years experience as a minimum working in a PMO environment
  • Demonstrable experience of establishing Portfolio Management functions for Projects, Programmes and Portfolios in multiple environments and business domains, tailoring existing standard and in house PMO methodologies where necessary
  • Experience of use of industry standard Portfolio Management toolsets (such as Clarity or Plan view) in supporting the planning process and roadmap definition across a Programme and Portfolio.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a Portfolio that supports both Agile and Waterfall delivery methods and techniques
  • Demonstrable experience of managing new work entering a Portfolio in a scaled environment, including multiple large scale programmes running along side large scale independent projects and Business as Usual work
  • Knowledge and experience of Management Information, including KPI definition, dashboarding and reporting
  • Ability and demonstrable experience of defining and enforcing appropriate governance models across stakeholder groups
  • Planning experience from high level, strategic roadmaps to detailed project plans
