The Psych NP will provide evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders and also provide emergency care/consultation, psycho-social and physical assessment and manage patient care in conjunction with the clinical team. Will consult and educate patients and families. Prescribe and manage medication and complete appropriate documents pertaining to services provided.
Psychiatric nurse practitioners work closely with counseling, social work, and support staff to address problems in a strengths-based, team approach.
Psychiatric nurse practitioners function with a high degree of independence and the PMHNP has the luxury of determining the length and frequency of follow-up visits. PMHNPs have access to consultation from respected psychiatrists as well as our own highly experienced NPs. Support staff include professionals who conduct in -depth mental health assessments prior to the NPs contact with the client, skilled crisis workers, prescription assistance staff, and other clerical workers.
Excellent and Benefit Package including 100% agency paid health, vision, and dental benefits; Option of 4 day work week; $90K with increase to $95K after 6 Months and Loan Forgiveness Program
