Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to the DCE to provide professional, confidential, and efficient support to the Deputy Chief Executive (DCE).


This role is central to the smooth operation of the executive leadership team and requires someone who is confident, adaptable, committed and an excellent communicator, with strong attention to detail, a huge love for serving our iwi and the ability to manage competing priorities.



You can expect that your day to day will be varied, fast paced and heavy on the lean ins (support) to deliver key kaupapa for our people.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the DCE’s diary, meetings, travel, correspondence, and communications
  • Prepare reports, presentations, meeting papers, and minutes
  • Organise and co-ordinate key community events
  • Coordinate weekly briefings and track actions and follow‑ups
  • Support delivery of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and other key events
  • Provide general administration and delegated email management support
  • Provide reception relief and assist with meeting coordination
  • Support Tribal Registry maintenance and respond to queries
  • Maintain policy renewal schedules and compliance documentation
  • Assist with key HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, file management, and training compliance
  • Support Social Media functions


About You

You will have proven experience in an executive support or senior administration role, with strong organisational and communication skills, discretion, and professionalism. Experience in kaupapa‑driven or iwi‑based environments is desirable.
