FEATURES EDITOR (DLF High5, DLF Malls TREND, GMR Aerocity LIVE, and The Rising Star, the official in-flight magazine of Star Air)

Editorial Duties

1. Rewrite or restructure content as needed to enhance readability and engagement
2. Subedit and proofread all content, work on InDesign
3. Ensure all articles are factually correct, grammatically sound, and free of plagiarism
4. QC: Cross-check captions, headlines, bylines, and callouts for factual and stylistic accuracy
5. Finalise content before layout and design stages in collaboration with the design team
6. Review and incorporate client feedback across advertorials, features, and sponsored content
7. Ensure content revisions are implemented swiftly without compromising quality
8. Factchecking

Content Ideation

1. Collaborate with me and writer(s) to conceptualise themes and story ideas for upcoming issues
2. Participate in monthly brainstorming sessions to generate fresh, relevant, and on-brand editorial ideas for all three magazines
3. Keep abreast of current trends and competitor content to suggest compelling stories and features
4. Help create editorial calendars, running orders, and assign content tasks accordingly

Events & Networking

1. Attend industry events, client functions, and launches as a representative of the editorial team
2. Interact with guests, speakers, and brand representatives to gather quotes, insights, or coverage angles
3. Provide on-ground support for event coverage, including quotes, interviews, or post-event write-ups
4. Coordinate with tenants for assets, follow-ups (this can eventually be passed on to the writer)
