Finance Automation Analyst

As a Finance Analyst in our team, you’ll be working closely with both your team and your stakeholders in order to optimize financial results for a specific department in eMAG. You’ll achieve this by managing all automation financial activities related to your main stakeholder’s department.

What you’ll have to do:

  • Act as a dedicated business partner for the Accounting & Tax department — analyze end-to-end accounting and tax processes, identify automation and efficiency opportunities, and translate operational needs into structured, actionable requirements;
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners across multiple platforms within the eMAG ecosystem to map data sources and align on data availability, access methods, and integration dependencies for A&T-driven initiatives;
  • Retrieve, process, and validate data from SAP, the Big Data Cluster, and the BI platform to support reporting, reconciliation, and automation use cases;
  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions according to the agreed roadmap, using the appropriate tooling for each use case;
  • Maintain and continuously improve existing automated flows, ensuring reliability, auditability, and alignment with accounting and tax compliance requirements;
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide real-time operational visibility for the Accounting & Tax leadership team;
  • Collaborate with the EDI infrastructure team to ensure seamless integration of transactional data flows between external partners and internal accounting systems;
  • Document implemented solutions, data flows, and process logic to support knowledge transfer and audit readiness.

What makes you a good fit:

  • 2–5 years of experience in a finance analytics, process automation, or business intelligence role, ideally within a finance, controlling, or accounting environment;
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools — N8N, Alteryx, UiPath RPA, or equivalent — with the ability to independently build and deploy workflows;
  • Proficient in SQL and comfortable retrieving and manipulating data from complex relational or distributed data environments (SAP, Big Data Cluster, BI platforms);
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build structured analytical models used by non-technical finance stakeholders;
  • Experience with Power BI for dashboard development and financial reporting;
  • Familiarity with EDI infrastructure and transactional data exchange concepts is a strong plus;
  • Strong analytical thinking — able to decompose complex accounting processes into automation-ready logic without losing sight of compliance and accuracy requirements;
  • A natural bridge-builder: comfortable translating between finance language and technical implementation, and working across department boundaries;
  • Detail-oriented and rigorous, with high-quality standards for your own output;
  • Fluent in Romanian and English (both written and spoken).

What we’ve prepared for you:

  • Medical subscription: Medicover or Regina Maria.
  • A flexible budget that you can invest in yourself as you wish: meal tickets, holiday tickets, cultural vouchers, private pension, foreign language classes, eMAG, Fashion Days, Therme & Genius, membership to different gyms or even professional development classes.
  • Different discounts from our partners: banking, mobile, dental medicine or wellness.
  • Access to the Bookster library and free credits on the Hilio psycho-emotional health platform.
  • An accelerated learning environment, with access to over 100.000 curated online resources and platforms, learning academies and development programs.
