Fleet Manager

Job Purpose:

The candidate will ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and compliance of all fleet activities to support the manufacturing and distribution processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the company’s fleet to ensure timely and efficient transportation of materials and products.
• Schedule and manage regular vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle usage, and route efficiency to control costs.
• Ensure all fleet vehicles comply with regulatory requirements, including licensing, permits, and insurance.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of drivers, including performance, training, and adherence to company policies.
• Implement and enforce fleet safety policies and procedures to reduce accidents and risks.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel usage, mileage, and driver logs.
• Use fleet management software and GPS tracking systems to monitor and optimize fleet operations.
• Prepare reports on fleet performance, operational costs, and vehicle utilization for management review.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve fleet efficiency, reduce costs, and support operational goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in fleet management, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transport regulations, and routing.
• Proficiency in fleet management systems and GPS tracking tools.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and knowledge of road safety laws.
• Willing to relocate
